The club is delighted to confirm that Great Britain pitching coach Zach Graesfer will be visiting Leicester this May for three days of club and school training sessions.
Zach is from St Louis, Missouri and has previously been the Assistant Head Coach of the baseball programme at St Louis Community College at Meramec (a notable alumni is current Los Angeles Angels' third baseman David Freese).
Zach also taught at the St Louis Baseball and Fastpitch Academy, has worked with professional pitchers and catchers in their off-season and was recently appointed as an Envoy Coach for Major League Baseball to coach at camps and academies across Europe this year.
Thanks to funding procured via our recently launched satellite club programme, we have been able to agree the following training schedule with Zach for the 12th, 13th and 14th May.

Leicester Blue Sox club chairperson Matt Crawshaw said “our club has enjoyed close ties with the Great Britain national team programme in recent seasons and we are delighted to see this support extended across all sections of the club, as well as our new school satellite programme”.
He added “we are very grateful to Tom Mapp of BaseballSoftballUK
who has project-managed the satellite club initiative and help pull in the
necessary funding to bring Zach to Leicester. It is sure to be
an exciting week of baseball and softball in the city!”
