Boys and girls aged 5 to 9 will be having great fun, learning new skills and making friends at the Leicester Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp 2017! Our camp is being held during the February half-term week between Monday 13 February and Friday 17 February 2017.
What is the Youth Baseball Camp?
The Youth Baseball Camp is a pre-season half-term activity suitable for children who would like to give the sport of baseball a try and also for existing Little Sox members who wish to improve their skills.
The Camp consists of five sessions
during the half-term week between 9.30am-2.30pm. You can book your child onto
the camp for 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 days.
Our lead coaches are DBS-checked and child welfare trained. In addition, Leicester Blue Sox are a Club Mark accredited club by Sport England, in recognition of the quality of our junior programme.
Who are you looking for?
The Camp is suitable for both boys and
girls, ages 5 to 9. Whether they are complete beginners or have
some existing experience in baseball, softball or tee-ball.
How much does it cost?
The cost of the Youth Baseball Camp is as follows:

5 days (£60)
Included within the price, your child will also be provided with their very own 2017 Leicester Blue Sox Youth Baseball Camp t-shirt at their first session to keep.

What do I need to bring?
All equipment is provided, your child simply needs to attend wearing appropriate comfortable indoor clothing (ie t-shirt, tracksuit bottoms/joggers/shorts and indoor trainers).
Bring a bottle of water for hydration and plenty of enthusiasm!
There will be a set lunch break each day, between 12pm-12.30pm. Please ensure your child brings a packed lunch and enough still drinks for the day (i.e. water, squash or fruit juice but not fizzy drinks).
Changing facilities and toilets are available on site.

places will be limited. Registration will be closing on Friday 20 January to allow for the fulfillment of our t-shirt order. Registration could
actually close sooner than this if the camp is fully subscribed beforehand.
Frequently asked questions
My child is over the age of 9, what pre-season training is happening for that age group?
We will resume outdoor practice for our u13/u16 age-groups earlier than previous seasons. We expect them to be held on selected Saturdays or Sundays from mid-March.
We also are arranging a trip to the baseball batting cages near Wembley on Sunday 26 March.
Finally, if your child is age 14 or older in 2017, they are eligible to attend our Baseball & Softball Boot Camp being held on selected Sundays during February 2017.

What about Little Sox sessions, when do they start outdoor?
Little Sox opening day is Sunday 23 April, we will be running three age groups on Sunday afternoons during the spring and summer. Under 7’s/tee-ball 12.30pm-1.30pm, Under 10’s/coach-pitch 1.30pm-2.30pm and Under 13’s/player-pitch 2.30pm-3.30pm.
